The first phase of the evaluation of the proposals for centres of excellence in university education completed
The Finnish Higher Evaluation Council received 44 proposals for centres of excellence in university education 2010-2012 by 30 June 2008. The applications are evaluated in two phases. The first phase of the evaluation was carried out by a four-member international evaluation team appointed by the Council. The team evaluated the applications and selected a shortlist of units to be visited. The first phase was anonymous so that the international team was not able to identify the applicants.
During week 35, the units chosen for the second phase were informed of the site visits which will be implemented in September-October. These units will not be published. All the applications are available in the following link:
